The Hale Mountain showing is underlain Devonian to Middle Triassic rock of the Boundary Ranges Metamorphic Suite. The showing is hosted in carbonate altered meta-sedimentary unit about on the eastern slope of Bighorn creek.
The showing is defined by sample 07HCP103, which assayed 1.73 grams per tonne gold, 5.3 grams per tonne silver and 0.12 per cent copper, along with anomalous antimony and mercury (Assessment Report 30762). The host rocks are describes as sideritic quartzite with quartz veins. Mineralization was observed to be malachite. This sample was taken less than 20 metres from sheared quartzite in contact with tuffaceous mafic volcanics.
The showing was discovered by Apex Geoscience, on behalf of Micrex Development Corp, during their 2007 exploration project on the Bighorn property (Assessment Report 30762).
